The Columbus Bicycle Co-op is Columbus, Indiana’s only not-for-profit community bike garage. The Co-op exists to make bicycling an affordable and sustainable means of transportation and recreation for all residents of Bartholomew County.

Classes, tools, parts, bikes, and workspace are available for free or very little cost. Bike aficionado volunteers with knowledge of bike mechanics, bike safety, various types of riding, and local routes and trails can help you during open hours.

We don’t offer tune-up services nor will someone repair your bike for you, but volunteers will help you learn to do it yourself. We have most of the tools and parts you may need.

The East Food Pantry provides food and health essentials at no cost.

The Salvation Army offers a food pantry to provide nutrition and other necessary items to families. A typical visit provides a three-to-five-day supply of nutritionally balanced groceries.

The pantry supplies nonperishable food and dry pantry goods, with a focus on balanced grains, canned vegetables and fruits, proteins, and pasta. Knowing that these may only provide short-term relief, we also provide resources to help provide longer-term food support, plus access to different food bank locations.

The Thrift Shop is a nonprofit organization that supports the community through programs in music, speech, hearing, literature, and art.

We accept gently used donations during our regular business hours, as well as on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM.

The Sans Souci Low Cost program is designed to price donated goods at significantly reduced prices versus traditional retail or resell stores. The intentionally low priced structure allows community members to stretch their household budgets with low-priced basic needs. The Sans Souci thrift store provides an affordable option for items such as clothing, shoes, housewares and furniture.

Provides clothing and household goods (no furniture) free of charge to those who may have found themselves in situations such as loss from fire, elderly on a fixed income, single parent, sickness, homeless, or incarcerated.
