The American Red Cross of the Indiana Region is comprised of six Chapters and serves 6.9 million people across 104 counties in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois. The Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Disasters and emergencies strike without much warning, but you can count on The Salvation Army to be on the spot, providing relief to communities within hours, because we’re already there.

We work with local organizations and federal authorities. We mobilize to provide people with food, water, and emergency shelter.

Provides clothing and household goods (no furniture) free of charge to those who may have found themselves in situations such as loss from fire, elderly on a fixed income, single parent, sickness, homeless, or incarcerated.
