Description

Assurance Wireless provides a free wireless phone plan to households who qualify based on income or enrollment in certain government benefit programs. Lifeline is a government benefit program supported by the federal Universal Service Fund.

Eligibility

135% or below of federal poverty guidelines or receive one of the following benefits: Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance, Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, Tribal Head Start, or Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit.
